Viral video shows alligator that interrupted play at PGA tournament

The first round of the PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic was briefly interrupted on Thursday due to some circumstances that many people would find terrifying.

As players were waiting to tee off at the 17th hole at TPC Louisiana in New Orleans, an alligator casually — and very slowly — walked across the tee box.

When in New Orleans, right?

The gator did not seem to be bothered by the dozens of people standing around. The reptile’s appearance was probably a good reminder to golfers to not stick their hands into any bodies of water around the course to retrieve a ball.

While the creature was impressive, it was nowhere near the biggest alligator we have seen stroll across a golf course.
