The documentary ‘The Dynasty’ was intended to celebrate the New England Patriots’ six Super Bowl championships under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady . However, as the episodes unfolded, Belichick, initially credited with identifying and drafting Brady, faced criticism from fans and Patriots owner Robert Kraft .

This led to him being portrayed in a negative light, a fact that bothered Kendrick Bourne, wideout for the New England Patriots who spoke to Boston.com‘s Khari A. Thompson revealing his thoughts on the docu-series.

I think it's awful too, honestly. It's just lot. It made Bill look bad and I love Bill. I love everything he stood for. It was just kind of crazy how it made him look and it seemed like a lot of misunderstanding and confusion that was going on. I enjoyed seeing the history and learning about the history. It's always dope to learn about history. But they tried to swing it one way or the other and it didn't have to be like that. Kendrick Bourne said

Bill Belichick is still suffering from the Patriots bad publicity

On one hand, Bourne did enjoy watching the documentary as it gave a glimpse into one of the most successful teams of all time in league history. However, despite the success the New England Patriots achieved under Bill Belichick, it did not stop the documentary from taking a jibe at him.

The HC was criticized for his handling of the Brady situation towards the end of his tenure on the Patriots. The docu-series gave rise to the notion that Belichick was a divisive figure in the locker room.

Bourne does not like this and believes that Belichick ultimately was the reason for the Patriots winning six Super Bowl titles yet he gets disrespected for it. The head coach was criticized by Robert Kraft, who took a jibe at him towards the end of the documentary. He holds him to blame for Brady having left the Patriots franchise and his love for Belichick disappeared after the incident.

Now, Kraft remains committed to keeping Belichick out of a job, going as far as expressing his frustration with Belichick’s final years as the Patriots’ head coach. For the first time in nearly 5 decades, Bill Belichick will be on the sidelines but in the capacity of a viewer and not a coach.
